Here we have a five year old Barossa Shiraz that is still youthful and clearly has potential to drink well over the medium term. It is a deep ruby colour and is a modern, fruit forward style with lashings of fruitcake, licorice, blackberry and baked earth fruits supported by coconut and vanilla scented oak influences. Big and bold on the palate, there is plush and fleshy fruit underpinned by significant tannins with some aged, earthy complexity. This Barossan will win many fans over the next five years.

This substantial offering exhibits dark fruit richness with vanillin oak, cake spice, potpourri and chocolate tart aromas on the nose, followed by an immensely powerful palate that’s dense and plush. The wine displays outstanding depth and complexity, finishing magnificently long and symphonic. At its best: now to 2035.
