Lied white florals with lemon zest, white peach and hints of exotic cedary spice. The palate is layered and rich with a round and creamy mouthfeel, tight natural acid and a lingering, complex finish.
The grapes were grown in the Merricks Grove vineyard on a north-south facing block planted in 1995. The Pinot clone is MV6 and vines were pruned using a mix of cane and spur pruning.
Handpicked and sorted, gently destemmed and whole berry fermented in an open vat with minimal interference to preserve the personality of the vineyard. Pressed and matured for 10 months in new and old French barriques with minimal filtration before blending and bottling.
